Sub-Domain Names

Unlike a Domain name, a Sub-Domain can be virtually anything you want. The hosting component is usually significantly cheaper and you do not have to pay a registration fee to register a Domain name. The main disadvantage is the name is NOT Portable. It will be tied to the ISP you select. However, Sub-Domains can be directed to a Domain name later should you decide to register one.

An example of a Sub-Domain name is www.webmaker.com.au/yourname/. This comprises of our Webmaker Domain www.webmaker.com.au/ and then the Sub-Domain yourname/
