 The society operates a miniature 5" gauge live steam railway, which is locate at Ruse Park, Hoskins Avenue, Bnkstown. Our Running Day is the 2nd Saturday of each month (except January). Members start their loco's at approximately 11am and steam until 2pm. There is a variety of locomotives, including live steam, battery-powered and petrol engine locomotives, and yes we do give rides. Enclosed footware must be worn when riding on a train; no thongs, bare feet or open sandals etc, So please bring your shoes. The B.S.L.S. is a non-profit co-op hobby society, with all income generated being used for track and ground maintenance. The Society will provide special Running Days for all types of organisations such as pre-school outings, birthday parties, social club parties etc. We request at least 8 weeks' prior notice for such arrangements.
